The European Border and Coast Guard standing corps is a uniformed operational cadre deployed to EU external borders and supporting activities. Eligibility
Category 1 statutory staff are recruited by Frontex; other categories are typically seconded by national authorities. EU citizenship and fitness/security screening apply.
